RIVERFLY MONITORING
As part of the project being carried out on the River Eea by the South Cumbria Rivers Trust (SCRT) - Cark Angling became part of the Angler's Invertebrate Monitoring Initiative and started the monthly kick tests in May 2008, the results of these are shown on the links at the bottom of this page.

Monitoring Site at Priest Bridge Cark

Pollution incident 5/9/2010 investigated by the Environment Agency as a result of kick test done on this date. All invertibrate life below Lowbankside wiped out lots of dead Shrimp evident below Priest Bridge. Suspect cause dipped sheep crossing river at Lowbankside.
